    LooseStitch has been supporting keyboard shortcuts since March 2008. And as for check boxes and dates, LooseStitch does allow you to mark a row as completed (there's your checkbox) and set a due date to a row. True, when you import an outline that has been created using some other outliner application, it might not pick up these attributes.

    Maybe you haven't used LooseStitch in a while. In February, they launched LooseStitch Pro, which allows you to manage your outlines from one page, upload attachments to rows and a bunch of other features.
